January Dinner

Audrey Niffenegger, Caxtonian, book artist, printer, author, professor, collector, and indefatigable founder of book arts centers will present her plans for a new book arts center. The Artists Book House will create a space for work and collaboration for a broad base of book artists, printers and binders, similar to centers already existing in cities such as New York and Minneapolis. She will regale us with her efforts to beguile a city into letting her transform an empty mansion into a lively home for writers, readers, and book lovers.

January Dinner, Union League Club, 65 West Jackson Boulevard. The evening will follow this order: social gathering 5-6 pm; program at 6 pm; dinner immediately to follow, Three-course dinner $66. Reservations are required for either program only or dinner/program combination. Reservations must be received no later than NOON, Monday, January 12. Payment will be required for dinner reservations cancelled after that time and for no-shows. Reserve at caxtonclub.org, by email at caxtonclub@newberry.org or call 312-255-3710.
